HERO Shaper: To succeed your root canal preparation

HERO Shaper: To succeed your root canal preparation
HERO Shaper gradually eliminates interferences and flares the canal. The varying helical pitch and length of the cutting portion of the files provide them with an excellent combination of efficiency, flexibility and strength.
  • Root canal shaping is facilitated. Limits the risks of breakage thanks to the use of Nickel-Titanium. With tapered canal preparation, the inactive tip respects canal anatomy.
  • HERO Shaper can be used in 3 sequences so as to cope with any curve of the root.
  • HERO Shaper guarantees simple, quick and efficient canal preparation.
An innovative pitch:

  • Avoids screwing effects: the helical angle of the cutting edges varies from the tip to the shank.
  • The new pitch also varies according to the taper: the more tapered an instrument is, the longer is its pitch; this can be described as an ADAPTED pitch. Increased instrument performance :
Efficiency/ Flexibility/ Strength

A positive advance in root canal preparation:
  • The blade shows a triple helix cutting edge.
  • The tip is inactive in order to follow the canal anatomy.
This root canal treatment method is faster and allows:

  • Improved patient comfort.
  • Time saving: 10 seconds of use per instrument for efficient shaping.
  • Reduced operator fatigue.
  • Less instruments to handle.
  • Reproducible results.
  • Increased safety:
    • No screwing effect.
    • Excellent debris evacuation.

Anti Breakage Control: the instrument “unwinds” to prevent the risk of fracture.

Usage Protocol

Yellow sequence: Difficult canals, severely curved, possibly with significant hyper calcification, making any first penetration tricky with the finest hand files.

Speed 300 to 600 rpm
Red sequence: Canals of average difficulty with moderate curvature and/or more hyper calcification, making first penetration with a n°10 K file hard to achieve.

Speed 300 to 600 rpm

Blue sequence: Easy canal preparation, low curvature, orifice and canal large enough to allow a n°15 K file to reach the Apex.
Speed 300 to 600 rpm

Revo-S: Getting to the root of the problem!

Revo-S: Getting to the root of the problem!

  • This new sequence with only 3 Nickel-Titanium instruments simplifies the initial endodontic treatment and optimizes the cleaning.
  • The asymmetrical cross section of the Revo-S facilitates penetration by a “snake-like” movement and offers a root canal shaping adapted to the biological and ergonomic imperatives.
  • This sequence has a cutting, debris elimination and cleaning cycle which optimizes the root canal cleaning by improving the upward removal of the generated dentine debris. It also offers the choice of the apical finishing (AS30, AS35 and AS40) best suited to the anatomical and ecological criteria of the canal.

Advantages

An asymmetrical cross section: More flexibility and less stress:
  • The asymmetrical cross section provides less stress on the instrument.
  • The canal axis has 3 cutting edges located on 3 different radiuses: R1, R2 et R3.
  • The smaller section allows more flexibility, and offers a better ability to negotiate curves.
  • The asymmetrical cross section increases the available volume for upward debris elimination
The instrument works in a cyclic way:
  • Cutting
  • Debris Elimination
  • Cleaning

Basic application of ConvaTec Ostomy systems

Basic application of Ostomy systems:

ONE-PIECE SYSTEMS
This system type combines both the barrier and pouch into one convenient unit.
  • Clean and dry peristomal skin.
  • Measure your stoma
  • Prepare the skin barrier (for cut-to-fit barriers: using the guidelines, cut an appropriate size).
  • Remove the paper from the adhesive.
  • Place the pouching system over your stoma gently.
  • Press the skin barrier against the skin, paying particular attention to the area closest to the stoma.
  • Smooth onto your skin.

Remove the release paper from the skin barrier.
Place the pouching system gently in position over the stoma. Press the skin barrier against the skin, paying particular attention to the area closest to the stoma.
During application, maintain slight pressure on the skin barrier for 30 seconds to a minute.

TRADITIONAL TWO-PIECE SYSTEMS

This system type is made up of both a barrier and a pouch. The two pieces connect together with a plastic coupling ring.
  • Clean and dry peristomal skin.
  • Measure your stoma
  • Prepare the skin barrier (for cut-to-fit skin barriers, using the guidelines, cut an appropriate size and for moldable skin barriers: roll the adhesive back to fit your stoma).
  • Remove the paper from the adhesive.
  • Center the hole over your stoma, on your skin.
  • Press the skin barrier gently against your skin.
  • Align the plastic ring on the pouch with the ring on the skin barrier and press together.

TWO-PIECE SYSTEMS WITH ADHESIVE COUPLING TECHNOLOGY

This system type is made up of both a barrier and a pouch. The two pieces connect together to with a foam adhesive ring and flexible "Landing Zone".
  • Clean and dry peristomal skin.
  • Measure your stoma
  • Prepare the skin barrier (for cut-to-fit barriers, using the guidelines, cut an appropriate size and for moldable barriers, roll the adhesive back to fit your stoma).
  • Remove the paper from the adhesive.
  • Center the hole over your stoma, on your skin.
  • Press the skin barrier gently against your skin. Hold for 30 seconds to a minute to secure the barrier to your skin.
  • Align the lower half of the foam adhesive collar on the pouch with the clear "Landing Zone" on the skin barrier. Then roll or slide your fingers over the upper portion of the pouch to secure the two pieces together.
